A therapeutic group that is created for new parents to meet and build connections whilst making art around topical themes related to the challenges that new parents may face during the postpartum period.
The participants of the group will be parents who have children under the age of 12 months.
Parents will be allowed to bring their child and choose to have them in the session.
At the beginning of the group, participants will be invited to share what themes/topics they would like to cover in the coming weeks such as sleep, different parenting styles, changes in their relationship, etc. Throughout the weeks, the focus will be on connections and a safe environment for parents to share their challenges.
Sessions will run for 1.5 hours as this allows enough time for participants to make art while discussing and reflecting on the weekly topic. Parents are welcome to come and go as they please around their babies' nap times.
