The City of Stirling is now home to more than 50,000 people over the age of 60, so it’s important that we provide services and support to our residents as they age.
Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme (ACVVS)
Funded by the Australian Government, the City is pleased to be part of the Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme. This program utilises volunteers to provide social connections for people living in residential aged care facilities within the City of Stirling. These friendly, regular visits from volunteers enable people who are socially isolated, lonely or have no family nearby to enjoy quality social time and create lasting friendships.
If you are interested in becoming part of this program, please contact the City and ask to speak to the volunteer department.
