JazzConnect to bring the rhythym to Scarborough Beach
Scarborough Beach is gearing up for the ultimate beachside jazz festival.
Scarborough Beach is gearing up for the ultimate beachside jazz festival, JazzConnect, from Friday 23 to Sunday 25 August 2024. The festival offers the opportunity to enjoy great local artists, iconic venues and beautiful ocean views all within walking distance.
JazzConnect is set to provide jazz enthusiasts and music lovers with a taste of New Orleans in Scarborough. The festival will feature a wide range of jazz genres and music styles, including both free and ticketed events at the Scarborough foreshore and the Scarborough Sunset Markets.
Scarborough’s Sunset Terrace will transform into the festival’s hub, hosting two marquee events: a night of elegance with Libby Hammer on Saturday and a Sunday afternoon of smooth bossa nova with Georgie Aue's new show. Other venues include Livid Skate Café & Laneway, Scarborough Sunset Markets, Zoie Café, Rendezvous Hotel, The Sandbar, Scarborough Beach Bar, The Lookout and El Grotto.
The three-day program is set to showcase up to 50 local artists with 17 diverse events. Catering to all musical tastes with events staggered throughout each day, allowing attendees to easily move from one performance to the next. The line-up includes a variety of jazz styles such as traditional, swing, soul, R&B, folk, funk, blues, and Latin.
JazzConnect is proudly presented by the City of Stirling and produced by ArtConnect. More than half of the festival’s events are free, tickets for some shows are limited and available now.
