Your 5 to 9 before your 9 to 5

27 March 2025

Maximise your mornings before the 9.00am – 5.00pm grind. The City of Stirling boasts a range of beautiful blue and green spaces, as well as plenty of sun, surf, and smoothies to kickstart your day.

Salty air strides

Start your morning with an energising walk or run along the West Coast Drive coastal path. This picturesque route hugs the beaches of Trigg, Mettams Pool, North Beach, and Watermans Bay, offering stunning views over the Indian Ocean.

Scenic runs

For a more tranquil setting, head to Herdsman Lake for an 8km run through a serene wetland oasis, or explore the coastal reserve of Trigg Bushland with a 3.4km bush track

Community spirit

Join a yoga session at The Yoga Garage on Scarborough Beach, your one-stop shop for Hot Yoga, Sumits Yoga, Hot Core Pilates and Yin Yoga. Alternatively, check out one of the many Pilates studios to sweat (or stretch) it out. For a likeminded community focused on positive mental health, check out the Cold Nips who meet weekly for an icy cold ocean swim!

Run clubs are a fantastic way to get fit and make friends. Join The Early Ones run club in Scarborough or the Perth Run Collective in Trigg.

Serene swims

Take a dip at the Scarborough Beach Pool, which boasts stunning coastal views and geothermally heated outdoor 50m lanes. If you prefer a natural ocean experience, cross the white sands of Scarborough or Brighton Beach and join the locals for a refreshing dip in the clear ocean waters.

Perk up

After your workout, reward yourself with a delicious latte and some brekkie at Little Wave or Canteen Trigg. If you’d rather grab’n’go, check out Two Slices Sandwich Bar for gourmet sandwiches or Knead Bread & Coffee, a micro bakery with mouthwatering baked goods.
