Tee time booking terms and conditions - Effective from Thursday 1 August 2024

Individual bookings

• All individual tee time bookings should be made through Hamersley Public Golf Course
• Bookings can be made 10.5 days in advance, starting at 7:00pm
• A maximum of two tee time slots (equivalent to eight players) can be reserved and paid for in a single transaction.

Social and corporate group bookings

• Companies and social clubs can request a group booking for 20 or more players in advance. Please email at leisure@stirling.wa.gov.au for bookings.

Cancellations

• All cancellations must be made at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled reservation time through the online booking system
• Any cancellations made within this 24-hour window will not automatically be entitled to a refund
• The number of players attached to one booking cannot be reduced (e.g. if the original booking is for four players, you can only cancel four players)
• If you wish to reduce the number of booked players, you may cancel the original booking to receive a refund and then make a new booking.

Course closure

• If the course is closed by management, a full refund or voucher will be provided to the affected bookings. The choice between a refund or voucher will be at the discretion of the manager.

Rules

1. Players play at their own risk
2. Players must adhere to the prescribed opening and closing times of the Hamersley Public Golf Course
3. Each player must have a set of clubs and a golf bag. No sharing
4. Players must be suitably attired. Thongs, high heels, and deep ripple-soled shoes are not permitted on the course
5. Motorised buggies must be kept more than 5 meters away from all greens and tee boxes
6. Players are expected to observe the rules and etiquette of golf to promote harmony on the course
7. A player must not play until the parties in front have played and are out of range, nor play up to the putting green until they have holed out and moved away
8. Players looking for a lost ball must adhere to the 3-minute rule or call the following group through
9. No more than four players may form a group
10. All players must always keep up with the group in front of them during busy periods. Players may be asked by course staff to join up to keep the pace of play moving

Ground Preservation

1. Buggies must not cross greens
2. Golf bags, clubs, and flags must not be thrown or dropped on the greens
3. Repair divots on all fairways
4. Repair pitch marks on greens
5. Relief must be taken from all sprinkler heads.

Local Rules

1. Out of bounds: All ground outside course boundaries, Driving range and internal fenced nursery. Penalty – stroke and distance
2. Vehicle tracks (not buggy tracks): A ball lying on the ground between and including the wheel tracks in the rough may be lifted and dropped within two club lengths but not nearer the hole (no penalty)
3. A ball lying on a green other than the one being played to must be lifted and dropped at the side of the green nearest to which the ball lies but not nearer the hole (no penalty)
4. Players must always give way to maintenance staff
5. Out of bounds for the whole driving range. No entry is permitted into this area.

Suspension of play due to bad weather

• One long siren: Suspension of play
• Three short sirens: Play to resume
• If the siren is not heard at the back of the golf course, please follow Course Marshals’ instructions.

Authority of Course Marshal

• The Course Marshal may ask for golfers to leave the premise if seen mistreating hire equipment or damaging the golf course. If instructions aren’t followed security/police may be called.
