Perth Folk and Roots Club is back at the Inglewood Bowling and Sports Club in 2025 for Sunday 26 January 2024 for a show with free music entertainment with the support of the City of Stirling and the support of Inglewood Bowling and Sports Club.
Perth Folk and Roots Club is also working with Act Belong Commit in recognition of music’s contribution to mental wellbeing. The performances are from 5.00pm to 8.00pm at the Inglewood Bowling and Sports Club, 1 Stancliffe Street, Mount Lawley.
For this event, Perth Folk and Roots Club has Neil Fernandes and The Snake Charmers.
Neil Fernandes was a guitarist and singer songwriter with the Manikins, one of the biggest bands in Perth in the late 70s and early 80s. In recent years, Neil has returned to music and has released new material as a solo artist with the release of Salon Hang in 2021 and Porch Songs in 2022 reflecting a new song writing approach with acoustic guitar, clean licks and heartfelt folk melodies.
The Snake Charmers are a Midland and Maylands based rock and roll band that play originals and a range of choice covers including Warren Zevon, Tom Waites, Velvet Underground, Leonard Cohen and Nick Cave.
