Upgrades to Balcatta Soccer Clubrooms to commence

Home to Balcatta ETNA Football Club, the soccer clubrooms at Grindleford Reserve in Balcatta will commence refurbishment from October 2024 to March 2025. 

The works are part funded from a State Election commitment from David Michael MLA. The first part of the funding went to the floodlighting and path upgrades, undertaken in 2023. The remainder of the $1m commitment will go towards the building refurbishment.  

The City has been working with the Club to help deliver these upgrades which will help improve the functionality of the building which was built in the mid-late 90's.  

Works will be undertaken to improve kitchen facilities, internally accessible toilet facilities and an external covered viewing area.  

During the works, a shipping container will be located in the car park to provide temporary storage for the Club during the works. The worksite area will be fenced off, with materials stored on site.  

The car park will be utilised for site deliveries and contractor parking. 

There will be no public access permitted within the site during construction.
