Groundswell Festival returns to Scarborough
Western Australia’s biggest free youth multi-sports, lifestyle, music, and wellness event returns for the 11th year.
Western Australia’s biggest free youth multi-sports, lifestyle, music, and wellness event, the Groundswell Festival presented by City of Stirling, returns to Scarborough for its mammoth 11th year.
Stretching across one huge weekend on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 October 2024, this is the ultimate way to close out the school holidays.
Acting City of Stirling Mayor Councillor Suzanne Migdale said the City was pleased to continue its support as presenting partner for the 11th year in a row.
“As Groundswell has grown over the past decade, we have seen increased benefits to the community,” she said.
“These types of events are important for promoting active, healthy lifestyle choices, and for continuing to establish Scarborough as a premier tourism destination and the natural home for major events.
Large events provide an economic boost, and Groundswell is expected to contribute $2.9 million to the local economy this year.”
Scarborough Beach and surrounds will play home to Perth’s ultimate weekend of surf, skate, 3x3 streetball comps, BMX bowl comps and stunt demos, DJs and live music, street art, food trucks, markets, free workshops, and activities. Throw off the birks and get sandy with beach volleyball and a free dodgeball arena!
Plus, the iconic Scarborough Amphitheatre will come alive with the sounds of Groundswell Live and the soul-nourishing Tipi Village returns with a slew of meditations, ocean dips, restorative workshops, and everything in between.
Groundswell Festival is not possible without the amazing sponsors including the major partners:
City of Stirling, Healthway, Scarborough Beach Association, Department of Local Government, Sports and Cultural Industries, Far East Organisation and KINN&CO.
