Stirling lights up with the joy of Christmas

The Christmas lights have been switched on across the City of Stirling, bringing the holiday spirit to life with vibrant displays and decorations in all seven wards until 5 January.

The Christmas lights have been switched on across the City of Stirling, bringing the holiday spirit to life with vibrant displays and decorations in all seven wards until 5 January. 

Streets, parks and popular community spaces are glowing with colourful lights and interactive decorations, adding a festive touch to neighbourhoods across the City.  

Locals and visitors are invited to visit these displays to enjoy the festive atmosphere, take photos with family and friends, and spread the Christmas cheer. 

Enjoy Christmas lights at the following locations:  

  • Balga | Bina Parkland, Princess Road and Stirling Leisure – Balga, 109 Princess Road
  • Doubleview | Munro Reserve, Scarborough Beach Road
  • Hamersley | Hamersley Community, 20 Belvedere Road
  • Inglewood | Inglewood Town Square, 895B Beaufort Street
  • Mount Lawley | Astor Theatre and Arcade, 659 Beaufort Street and Beaufort Street, Corner Walcott Street  
  • Osborne Park | Osborne Community Hub, 11 Royal Street and Main Street Carpark, Corner Hutton and Royal Street
  • Scarborough | Scarborough Beach Foreshore, The Esplanade  
  • Stirling | City of Stirling Administration Centre, 25 Cedric Street. 

“There’s something special about seeing our City come alive with Christmas lights and events,” Mayor Mark Irwin said. 

“This is my favourite time of the year, and I encourage everyone to get out, explore the lights and share the Christmas spirit. 

“There’s a great range of Christmas themed events happening throughout the City, from family movies under the stars to community carols, all giving us the chance to get together and celebrate the season.” 

Along with the Christmas lights displays, there is a series of holiday events to bring family, friends and the community together. From carols to bustling Christmas-themed markets, there is no shortage of family-friendly activities in the lead-up to Christmas.

Consider supporting those in need this Christmas by donating to the Stirling Women’s Centre Christmas Appeal.  

Donations can be dropped off at Stirling Leisure – Balga, Inglewood, Mirrabooka and Scarborough Beach, any Stirling Libraries, the City’s Administration Centre or the City’s Operations Centre until Friday 13 December.   

Please note that some City facilities and services may be affected during the holiday period.
